Crate Conditioned

Our poodles start working on crate training between 5-6 weeks, depending on when the specific litter is ready. We feel crate training is essential to provide your puppy with a sense of security and give you more peace of mind.

Giving your puppy an enclosed space creates a shelter to rest and relax. Our puppies are free to roam throughout the day but do sleep in a crate with a littermate through the night.  Crate training allows dogs to take a needed break form a busy household, gives them a place to rest or keeps a curious puppy safe when you are not able to supervise them.

Crate training also helps with potty training as puppies instinctively try to keep their sleeping areas clean, which leads to our next perk... Potty Training!

 

Potty Training Started

Our poodle puppies are toilet trained to our environment, making it as easy as possible for you to address potty training. By the time our puppies go home with you at 8 weeks and 4 days, they are potty trained to our facility making the transition to learning in your home much easier.

Our puppies are paper-trained for those who prefer indoor toilet training and also address outdoor training for families who choose that option. Addressing potty training is vital to give you a puppy with boundaries, good hygiene and a sense of routine for a well-mannered companion.

 

Personality Testing

Upon request we will perform personality testing to provide you with which personality best matches your pup. This is performed at 7 weeks of age and will give you valuable insight into their natural temperament, helping you to train and tailor approaches to work with your pup.

This early understanding not only promotes effective training but also helps foster a well-adjusted, happy, and well-behaved adult dog.
