Our Illinois Puppy Raising Program
We specialize in raising well-socialized, health-tested Standard Poodles for families throughout Illinois. Our program focuses on early development and structured socialization. Poodle puppies are raised inside our home and are intentionally exposed to structured early development experiences until approximately 6 weeks. At that time, we move them to our second home, and all puppies are exposed to all of our adults, different sounds, smells, and unlimited exercise, movement and additional surfaces.
From birth to go-home day, puppies receive:
- Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)
- Gradual sound desensitization
- Early grooming introduction
- Surface confidence building

We do all we can to provide the healthiest standard poodle puppies. Therefore, our Standard Poodle Puppies have dew claws removed for safety, tails docked, a full physical with vaccinations at 6 weeks and are dewormed at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks.

To get you started with training your puppy, a puppy manual, "How to Raise a Standard Poodle", will also be provided upon request. Yes. Our puppies are sent home with AKC registration paperwork and have been provided an AKC number. Owners will need to complete Transfer of Ownership with the AKC.

Yes. All breeding dogs undergo breed-appropriate health testing before being included in our program.
Why is crate conditioning so important?
Crate training is very important with new puppies, and we begin working on crate training between 5-6 weeks, depending on when the specific litter is ready. We feel crate training is essential to provide your puppy with a sense of security and give you more peace of mind.
Crate training also helps with potty training as puppies instinctively try to keep their sleeping areas clean.
Do you address potty training?
Yes. WE begin potty training before our puppies go home to hlep make the transition easier for their new families. Our puppies are paper trained and are also gently introduced to going potty outdoors as they get older. While every puppy will still need consistency and patience in their new home, we do our best to give then a great start.
